hooking up sound module to mpc?

im not sure how to do this.

i want to be able to use my midi controller to play other instruments too while still being able to use drums and percussion sounds using the mpc. and recording seq in it.

can someone help me out? just rented the fantom xr and i want to make some beats

Most basic connection - midi out from MPC to midi in on module.

midi controller's midi out to midi in on MPC.

Then set your midi channel numbers in the bottom left corner of the track box in your MAIN SCREEN on the MPC.

Oh yes ..... audio out from module to whatever mixer your MPC goes into.

i hooked up everything correctly. just one problem. i can record a seq say drums first right and then go to a next track to record but i cant use a different instrument. i tryed switching devices and programs but it just changed my first track to whatever instrument i was planning on using. anyone know how i can keep the drum track and using a next track for a diferent instrument?

you have to be in performance mode in the fantom. you can play 16 parts in performance. you assign each part (1-16) with whatever instrument you are looking for. if you want brass on channel 1 you make sure your mpc is on channel 1. you assign strings to channel 2 etc..
