metal plate to hold the 8output board for the mpc2000?

I have a friend who has an 8output board that originally fitted in side an akai s2000. The plates though are too big to fit inside the mpc, so rather than get a whole new 8output board which is like £100+, anyone know where (or have for sale) the metal plate? Also, does it need some new kind of data cable?

If you search these forums, there are previous threads about cutting the metal plate, and extending the cable, to make it fit.

Tell your mate, to remove the 8 output PCB from the S2000 metal plate by unscrewing it. Now he can install the outputs and put a couple of nuts on the threaded jacks which stick out the back of the machine. These will hold the board in place securely, job done.

And yes, your mate will need a longer data cable.
