Technical questions for the MPC2000xl and the MPC2000

I am attempting to install the ADIDECFB card reader. Up until recently I thought it was my CF card. I got a new CF card and that one did not work either.

Could the IDE port on my AKAI MPC be broken?

I am asking this because I have noticed the SCSI-6 doesn't appear during my fruitless search for ATAPI. I am using a 40 pin IDE cable, to my knowledge it should work fine, my power supply has been installed and has worked great for the floppy drive.

I have one set of pads that doesn't work (top row) but I am assuming that to be the pad sensors.

I considered the Addonics reader being broken but that doesn't seem likely....I checked to make sure it was on master...

My OS has been updated to 1.2....

Thanks......

make sure the reader is plugged into the IDE port properly (and the cable is the right way) ... scsi doesn't matter for that... but if there are jumper settings then make sure the reader is master.

SCSI 6 doesn't appear because it isn't used for a storage device. It is the SCSI id of the MPC itself.
