Mpc chops make weird static sounds after a while

so whenever I chop my sample on the 2000xl it sounds normal and good at first, but after 10 or so minutes it gets very grainy and bad sounding and I have no idea what this is? Is it that my floppy disk is running out of memory? Any advice?

I forgot to mention, this happens after I sample three or four things. The floppy disks I have currently are very small;.

Yeah I agree with the above - I had the samples corrupt and sound crackly and full of pops - I think my issues were a bit deeper but it was basically a RAM issue causing it.
