Technical questions for the MPC2000xl and the MPC2000

so whenever I chop my sample on the 2000xl it sounds normal and good at first, but after 10 or so minutes it gets very grainy and bad sounding and I have no idea what this is? Is it that my floppy disk is running out of memory? Any advice?

No, the floppy is only for saving your files. Samples and programs are stored in the RAM inside your MPC. Open the MPC and take out the RAM chips, dust off the chips and the slots they go in and reseat the RAM. This has solved the problem for alot of people.
