MPC2000 external storage

What are my options for this and what do i need to get it rolling because i am extremely unsuccessful with the 1.44 disk i know i can use an external zip drive but what kind of connection is it and where can i get it also is thier a way to hook up my pc to the mpc for storage

well this is the true downfall of the mpc2000....
i tried using a zip once a lonng time ago but it failed drastic. so i just stuck with floppies. what i do after i finish a project is save to floppy then back up the floppy onto my pc. then erase the floppy for the next project.
saves money on buying floppies.
