Hi,
I have a serious concern for my MPC2kxl. I don't have an fx board or 8 outs...the only upgrage i have is the full memory expansion......
When I play a beat and go to S:Drum1 : OFF on the main screen and change it to
S:Drum1: 1A or 2A etc....my MPC completely crashes out and makes horrible noises...before freezing up...and not doing anything without turning it off.
I don't have a full knowledge of what the S:Drum1 field is for and the only reason i noticed this happening is when I bought the EB16 and I started playing around with this field and it happened. I thought the card was faulty and sent it back....but now I've got my doubts...I think my MPC maybe faulty.
I got my MPC ex repair from Digital Village nearly a year ago...and when I got the MPC I instantly noticed that there was a fault with pads 10 & 11, they cannot be seperated...they both play the same sample....I tried reinstalling the OS etc and it didnt help.....
I only had 3 months warranty and that had ran out before I started really wishing I had sent it back to get the pads fixed....now I am really regretting it...
I can work around the pad thing....but the S:Drum crashing out thing is starting to get really scary....because I am just about to buy another EB16
Does anyone have any advice for me? I really need it right now...
Is this a serious fault? should I get in touch with Digital Village or just cut my losses and look for a place to get it repaired....such as www.panicmusic.co.uk or something???
HELP!!!! Any advice would be much appreciated....
Bless,
LB
