Mpc 2000xl and ableton 9 problem Help!!!

So basically I'm trying to use my 2000xl to trigger sounds from a vst in ableton 9. The signal is goin through because the track lights up in ableton when I press the pad on the Mpc. But no sound is coming out of my speakers. Does anybody know why this is happening? I'm pretty sure I have it setup semi correctly or the track wouldn't light up in ableton when I press the pad on the Mpc. I'm using a m audio uno which has a midi in and out with a usb attached to it.

Mpc audio out is routed where?

The audio out of the Mpc is goin into my speakers. I'm aware those cables only transmits midi and that's what I'm tryin to do. Lampdog do you think I have my wires routed wrong? Should I have cables coming out of my audio interface stereo outs into a mixer for me to hear the midi sound?

This is not your gear but you can look at it and pretty much guess what you need to do.
