which cf card reader to install on mpc 2000xl

Hi there,

after a 15 year hiatus I decided to use my mpc2000xl again. I lost all my zip drives and stuff. So I decided to go for a cf card reader. Can anyone please confirm for me which exact model I have to buy (also which cf card). And are those still available in Europe/Germany?
Are ram extensions also still around?

all that stuff can be had for cheap on ebay or things like that (if you can't find that stuff locally)

You can get the ram expansion for very cheap (I believe it was 72 pin simm... two sticks of 16mb preferably)

the cf reader can be had for 2 dollars on ebay... but it comes just by itself with no bracket or cover plate for the hole on the front of the mpc. If you want one that comes with the plate, it will cost more like 30-40 or maybe more. However with just the loose cf reader.. you can make your own if you don't care about looks so much or maybe you have the skill and stuff required. Check out "IDE CF adapter" on ebay.

memory cards.. you will most likely have luck with sandisk type 2.. get the cheapest ones... 1gb or sometimes 2gb is cheaper.. but 1gb is the max you will be able to use with os1.20.
