Can I Install 1.44 floppy drive from my old computer

Hi I want to install a 1.44 floppy drive into my 2000xl, can I use the same cables which are in my computer or will I need special cables to connect it into the mpc2000xl?

that's a serious upgrade you are going for there......

If I remember correctly... the floppy for the MPC is way different than the ones in a PC. The MPC floppy drive has jumpers where the PC floppy drive doesn't have jumpers.
It's the same 40-pin floppy cable is the same for both PC and MPC.
You might have to modify the floppy drive power cable if you had a Zip Drive installed.

Go for a Compact Flash card drive. You'll thank me later.

Ok thanks maybe its better I look for a cheap compact flash card drive, any tips where I can find them bedsides mpcstuff? Btw I have 1.14 os istalled. Will need to update to 1.20 before I Install the reader?

Yes you can use the cable from your old PC.
