Shutting MPC down

Yo - just wondering about shutting down my 2kXL, if you've read my other post about my 2kXL crashing then i just wanna know how exactly i should shut the system down.
After i've completed all my changes to my beats, i save them in the directory, then go back to the main screen and then just hit the power button - is this ok? or is there a procedure to shut down?

You can turn off the power button on any screen - there's no shut down procedure.

i find a quick Shut Down spell helps, along with some Chanting and Tribal Dancing.

immediately AFTER shutting down however, i smoke a ciggarette and ask the mpc, "was it as good for you?"
