I am going to swap out the internal SMPS to a linear power supply using fast acting slow recover schottsky diodes as the rectifier and nichicon caps for smoothing and toroid transformer. The psu will most likely be in a separate enclosure placed under the unit and shielded from the other components and connected with some sheet metal work. I plan to use a Furutech filtered IEC power inlet as well. This should improve the unit quite a bit and provide cleaner DC power w no emi or rfi interference. I haven't had a chance to pop the hood on the unit yet but does anyone know what voltages the power rails are running on?
