2 inch tape

Hey all,

I am going to start a recording session in a month or so and was wondering if anyone here knows where I can get some 2 inch tape for a good price? I would like it to be new but, I would take used with 1 pass.

2' that thick wat u recording on?

not just any 2 inch works, i normally use ampex 499, tht is like proper, 456 is good but not as good. 499 can take a whole lot more absorption or rather satuaration.

Try Ebay, you should be able to find people selling used AMPEX reels for cheap.
