Programs

Ive just learnt how to multisample and i have done that with the majority of the sounds on my emu mo phatt every sound i turn into a seperate program. so if i want to use a bass program drumkit keys program and a guitar program is this the maximum amount of programs im able to use during the makeing of a song????
So basically can u run more than 4 programs at once? but on seperate tracks.

Four programs max! Can be used on any of your tracks (Drums 1-4).

Remember that each program is made up of up to 64 samples, they can of course be any instrument NOT JUST DRUMS.

You can make a program which contains ALL the sounds used in your song, this saves a lot of time!

they release the planet phat as a sound font, load it into exs24 grab the wavs. nice they still retain the loop points when loaded into the mpc and there no need to auto chrom, cause you can just use 16 levels on that ish.

So dat means dat i can only use for of my sampled instruments as they are all complete programs.?

well it means you can have bass, keys and drums occupying 1 pgm.

u can store them all in one program but i can only access 1 of them when i go into the main screen. so im havin 2 save them all in different programs one 2 four. is this right

You need to learn about PAD BANKS A-D my friend!

For example:

Put your drums in BANK A
Put your basses in BANK B
Put your ......... in BANK C
Put your........... in BANK D

Make any other adjustments (mixer, filters etc) and SAVE AS A PROGRAM.
Switch banks as required during programming to access all your sounds.

Obviously it makes sense to MIX UP YOUR PROGRAMS to contain several samples, not just drums. After all you don't really need 64 drum samples in your track, do you?

i no about banks but for the sampled piano guitar and many other instruments, im useing all da banks A-D cause im sampleing every octave so i have no space 2 put drum tracks on, or n e ova instrument on it.

quick question..

are you sampling from your rack-synth? (emu) or using them through midi? cause sampling them would be a waste of time....

WHERE WHERE planet phat sounds are kinda ok still...

Yea man i have 2 sample cause u cnt use the 8 outs can u or the eb16 effects unit on midi sounds. and im goin to sample one of my mates korg triton so dats why i need it

Ok I see, cause I own a proteus, and it has 6 outs 4 assignable and 2 stereo and I use it through midi and the proteus plays in to a mixer board
that way i can manipulate the sounds in the proteus direct and on the board.
sorry somtimes i assume we have similar setups.

P.S. if you sample to a PC first you could share dem sounds in the mpc library.

Wots an mpc libary man???
