Technical questions for the MPC2000xl and the MPC2000

I wanna install one in my XL butI'm having a hard time finding an internal ide reader/writer...anybody have any suggestions???

Yeah, check ebay I got one from there a few weeks ago for $40, but I might have over paid because there were only like two on there for sale.

Why OS 1.2? Will the drive not wor kwith 1.14? (haven't installed mine yet)

use the forum search function. i think s/o said you need a scsi reader to work in the mpc.

Yeah it needs to be SCSI I think. The one I bought was a SCSI, sorry if I caused confusion.

With the OS update, I dont think it has to be SCSI now....SCSI works with the regular OS. IDE will work if you can find one

so will the microtec 47b fit good replacing the internal zip of the 2000xl?

yep, nice and easy. different cable though, you'll need an internal 50pin ribbon type.

Yep, I'm installing one of these this weekend, just have to mod the power supply. It fits into the MPC nicely.
