read your manual it's all there, but NO you cant you have to EQ before or after the mpc

"read your manual" is the last fashion answer on this forum...
nothing personal e , but there's nothing in the book about EQ...

BTW, yes you can EQ ON THE MPC, you'll have to buy an EB16, that's basically the multi FX card for MPC2K/2KXL...

And then (once you have it) you should read manual, chapter9 page 137...

...p143... ...4 Band Filter
-This four band filter consists of a high-pass filter, two middle pitch band pass filters, and a low pass filter...

Yeah, page 143, it's all there.... 'bout EQ in the MPC!!!

You can EQ a lot more effectively outside of the MPC. I have the FX card, but I find much better results when I EQ on a mixing board.

try ebay and like, sometimes you could find it by cat who's selling a S2000 or S3000... even try musican shops...

I get mine for 100 euros by a german guy, i've been luky...

EB16 and outboards eq are different purpose, i.e with eb16, FX cames more as a process while you are beat making... then outboard eq will be the tool for a final rec... outboard supose to own a mixing board, specialy if you've got the 8 outputs...
