Hi everyone,
It's been now a while that i am looking for a solution to a problem i keep having to work around. At the moment i am having a setup using an Arturia Beatstep Pro as master, sending Midi informations both to MPC2000XL, Vermona DRM1 and Dave Smith' Prophet.
Vermona and Prophet receive the MIDI informations they should be receiving on their respective channels.
The problem is that the MPC2000XL is receiving all the midi notes i am sending to both other synth. In my setup right now, i would like to be able to have my mpc only receiving the clock - therefore only being synced to the Arturia Beatstep Pro.
Is there a way to deactivate those MIDI notes input in the MPC2000XL while still keeping it clock synced ? I know i can just switch off the drum track but that way i can't play my samples directly over the beats and sequences programmed for the Vermona and Prophet.
What i want to do : being able to jam with my samples recorded inside the mpc and assigned to my pads while my Arturia Beatstep Pro sends other sequences to the Prophet Synth and Vermona drum synth.
My problem : When doing this, Arturia sequences send to Vermona and Prophet synths also trigger MPC pads.
If you guys have any idea... It would be very helpfull.
(Sorry if that's a question already asked and answered, i searched a long time and couldn't seem to find the solution online)
