"Disk read error"

Can some one pls help, the other day i turned on my Mpc 2000 and it wouldnt load the O/S and said "Disk read error"(so i cant even use the mpc anymore) I tried another back up disk of the operating system, and i even changed the disk drive but it still says "disk read error"
Does anyone know what i can do about this problem,?? oh yea sometimes before it says disk read error it says Scsi 7 pls help

I know this sounds gay but try it..

turn on your MP with no disk in it ... it'll scan the scuzzy then scan the floppy then say "Insert disk"

insert disk

then see...

sometimes if u boot up with the floppy already in the drive - it tweaks out

if that dont work - go and download the os off the website then save that ish to a new floppy and try the above

i had the same problem. the screen would say DISK READ ERROR, does your zip drive make a clicking noise? that was my problem,a broken zip drive.
