mpc2kl and hard drive

I am a new owner, and just had my 32mb upgrade installed, when the guy had it apart, he said that I had another slot for memory and I could also install an internal hard drive. He also added that I could run a cord from the back to hook up a cd burner, is this true?

32 meg is max no matter how many slots are free.

You could put an internal HD but it is an expensive operation, voids your warranty, and requires some modification to the MPC.

You can hook up a CD writer but it will not write, only read.

B Careful, unless that guy is an authorized Roland dealer/repair person, be skeptical of what he tells you! MPC3000 justified this for me, search for the thread on this.
