Midi Controller + Mpc?

Is there a way to have my midi controller always hooked up to my mpc without me having to do the auto chromatic assign to every single sound? I wanna be able to play any sound wiht the midi controller without having to assign it each time, let me know...thanks

There Midi controller need to know what its triggering r should I say there needs to be a sound assign for it to be triggered.

the mpc aint like the eps. each sound is a one shot unless u tell it other wise or assign you keys to the correct pgm
