Would a 2000xl be a good buy over a 1000?

I have heard a lot of hype about the 2000 xl but it seems like a lot of people are using the 1000. I am still trying to figure out wich one to get for my first mpc. I already have a bunch of samples on my computer and plan on buying more sounds so i just wanted to know what would be the best buy....and if you tell me a bunch of specs please explain them to me because i dont know what a lot of that stuff means.

fuken oath, i think the card reader was the only advantage the 1000 had other than size. now the XL has the card reader.

Instead of using 3 1/2" floppies or zip discs, the card reader reads/writes to memory cards.
