Technical questions for the MPC2000xl and the MPC2000

I have snd files and songs saved on my external ZIP JAZ. The other day i was making a song and wanted kicks/snare sounds from another jaz disk. So i grabbed another disk and swapped it. I then loaded disk2 and saved the sounds on to the mpc's RAM. Afterwards i swapped disks and placed disk1 back in and then saved the sounds according to plan from disk2. The thing is that everytime i shift load, the screen comes up with "wrong disk" and with the file names from disk2. Also when I try to load i get a bunch of random letters and sounds. So for further interest I plugged my jazz drive to my computer to see any visuals on a larger screen, maybe something the mpc cannot do. My computer can see the drive but it cant see the disks..

The reason this is an issue for me is becuase ihave some important songs on this troubled disk. Please help.

Thank

One.

i have a jaz drive , i have one 2gb disk. it is a okay storage device . but i would have a zip also to have two copies. since the 4000 is in my presence , i get to burn to cdr all my old jaz beats and save on the hd. i have noticed a few times i got disk errors and had to start in section b after a was full. and the c section of my disk always reads disk error. invest in another saving device it will be worth every penny. but my jaz hasnt crapped that much , i would tell any xl owner to get one. and i was gonna get a internal zip 2 be extra safe. but like i said the 4000 is with me. hope that helps
