zip instal please help

i followed that tutotrial but,....

Matter of fact, TUESDAY I needed to replace an external zip drive, and I installed an internal one until my card reader gets in, so I SEARCHED this FORUM for old posts on INSTALLING ZIP, I was walked right through it. ITS VERY HARD TO MESS THIS INSTALLATION UP!!!

So WHAT DID U DO WRONG???!!

i didnt mess anyting up, perhaps a bad drive, cant test it till i get computer parts tho

i'm just throwing a suggestion out.

perhaps you have the serial adapti cable in wrong (on the board or the drive) or a pin on the drive (should be set to master) was set incorrectly.
i remember that was my error at first. the screen was completly lit up and all the leds on the front panel were lit as well.. left frozen like that.

what is the nature of the problem? i'm afraid that saying it does not work is too vague of a description to be the basis for any ration conclusion.

p.s as you suggested yourself, if you can test it on a pc that will rule out that as the source of the problem.
