Output Problem

I just got my MPC2000XL today second hand and ive got a little problem. When i loaded my drum samples to the MPC via floppy they would only play when i panned them all the way to the left. But with a sample i recorded straight to the MPC it plays back fine in stereo.

Any Suggestions.

Are the sample(s) Mono or Stereo? How is your pan pots on the mixer set up? How about on the internal MPC mixer

All the samples are mono. All my pan pots are set as normal on my mixing desk and when i set them as normal on the MPC mixer it doesnt play the drums (you can hear them faintly), but when i pan the pad with my drum samples on all the way to the left they play ok.

once again: how is the pan set on the internal mixer of the MPC ?

Also what are you usin' to monitor?

Ah I think ive figured it out, from the stereo out put from the MPC im connecting it to a mono channel on my mixing desk using a stereo to mono 1/4" cable.

So ill nead to get a stereo to stereo cable and use a stereo channel on my desk.

all those connections on the MPC2000XL are MONO except the DIGITAL IN\OUT. MONO Cables only.
