2 Questions: Drum program option & Trimming precision...

check it out. i used to own the older mpc2000 model and I can't figure out how to solve these problems on the newer mpc2000 model...

1. In the "PROGRAM" or "MIXER" section: whenever i choose these menus, a screen comes up that says "Please select a DRUM program to edit."

Now, how do you get rid of this screen, so that when you select "PROGRAM" or "MIXER", it will automatically jump to the main menu without selecting a drum pattern?

2. In the "TRIM" mode, the older MPC has a twisting layer around the DATA wheel, so that you can do precise editing, down to a fraction of a decimal (instead of manually turning the DATA wheel, untill it reaches the exact decimal you want, which is time consuming)

Now, how can you do that on the newer MPC model, since there is not an extra layer on the DATA wheel, for precise editing?

1) The newer model can use 4 program so you will always have to select and tell the MPC which one you are going to work with.

2) Use the SHIFT and < and > to select numeric positons or use the NV slider to make rough adjustments.

Manufact, the older 2k can access 64 samples on DRUM (not talking about memory), that equals out to 1 whole DRUM. That is why u only see 1 DRUM on the 2k.

The 2kxl can access 256 samples on 4 DRUMs (64 each), that is why you have 4 DRUMS on xl.

You can hold more samples in memory but can only access 1 drum at a time on 2k and 4 drums at a time on 2kxl.
