Technical questions for the MPC2000xl and the MPC2000

1.I dont wanna format the whole zip disk,,just remove some sounds,is it possible to do that on the Mpc? How?

2.The mpc got,snd,aps,seq,all seq Etc Etc..
whut does all this stand for? i just wanna save a new song.
what should save in?

If i save in "all sequences and songs"
will all my sounds get saved?

APS is pad assignment and sounds.
ALL is seq, song data, mixer settings.
PGM is pad assignment only for a single drum.

it just saves your songs and sequences... basically all the midi programming involved in making the beat.....
^^ so yes... if you have to save that way to keep your programmed info
AND.....

and you have to save using the "save all programs and sounds" option also... so that this saves all your sounds...within ram.. and all the parameters associated with the sounds linked to your drum pads and programs...

..
so when you want to save all your work at one time... you should have three types of files

one .aps file -all parameter info for sounds
one .all file ---all sequence info
and one of more .wav or .snd files <<your sounds...kick,snare,sample..etc
