Can someone fill me in on how to set the mpc up to play 2-3 snares with one pad? is it possible with the 2KXL? Or can I have one pad trigger multiple pads?

Hit SHIFT+6 for the program section.

Hit DRUM1 (if that's the program you're working on)

You'll be on the ASSIGN screen

Hit the pad that is your main snare

Go down to MODE: and change setting to SIMULT

Where it says ALSO PLAY NOTE:, dial in the pad number of the additional snare(s) that you want to trigger.

Will it also work for Midi modules?

Does it save with the track or do you have to set it up each time you turn on the MPC?

And also when you are assigning note numbers to the pads, do they save or do they have to be setup each time the machine is cut on?

Thanks

You're changing the program when you do this so if you save the program and load it back it will still be like that.

your next challenge... phasing.. try altering the attack and decay or different snare you have on simult mode.
