hello.

How would i go about getting music from my mpc 2000 into my mac powerbook laptop so i can burn cd's of my beats?

im trying to do this as cost effective as possible.

...or is there a decent stand alone cd recorder anyone can recommend?

If you don't have a input jack into your laptop, you're gonna need one.Maybe cop you a soundcard off Ebay.Probably won't be more than 40 or 50.The 2000 can't burn to an external burner.

I have a philips dual cd deck. Works really well with the MPC. It works just like a tape deck but with CD's. All you have to do is plug in the rca's to the back of the cd deck and record.

The one I have is the phillips CDR775.

Is should work with a digital multi-track. It has a digital I/O on the back.

Check the link below for some specs. You should be able to find one cheaper than the price listed on that page. I've had mime for 5 years now with no problems.
