Watup Folks...This is my first post so bear with me...I just started working with the 2000xl and had a question with MIDI assignements and making programs.... I have a Yamaha keyboard hooked up via MIDI in and out to the MPC....I also have 2 sound modules (EMU Planet Phatt and a Peavy Spectrum) daisey chained from the MPC's second MIDI out port...
Lets say I have created a 4 bar sequence....I have the kick on track one (S:MIDI-10b-device10)...the snare on track 2 (S:MIDI-11b-device11)....the hi-hat on track 3 (S:MIDI-12b-device12) and so one for a total of five tracks...I am using the MPC to trigger the Planet phat module which I have set up to correspond with the proper midi channels (i.e. Ch10 - Kicks, CH11 - Snare, CH12 - Hi Hat, etc..)...When i tap the pads on the MPC for the respective channel I hear nothing but the respective sound (64 kicks or 64 snares, etc)...
I was wondering how could I put both the snare, hi hat, and kick drum in the same Bank?...to actually hear the respective sound, I have to actually switch the track to what sound i want to hear or play...im sure there is an easier way...On the planet phatt it has GM beat kits and what not, but I have shaped and molded my own kicks, snares, and hats and saved them to individual presets...I want to use those presets on individual MIDI channels that way i can control the paramaters of that individual sound...How would I create a new program where i could per se, have the Kick on A1, Snare on A2, hi-hat on A3, and so on...any insight or suggestions would be appreciated
