ok, i have two different audio outputs that my MPC's sound goes to
1)my sony mdr-v700 headphones
2)my onkyo receiver that has 8 good speakers(bass and treble is set nice)
now, when i hear it through the headphones, the sounds are kind of hollow and when i set reverb (to a sample) up just a lil it makes the hall type reverb....however when i play the same settings on my onkyo receiver it sounds like studio quality....i don't like how it sounds on the headphones and really like that "mixed" sound from the receiver......my question:
which sound do I trust more? what i mean is.....if i were to go into the studio to record....which woudl it sound more like, the headphones or the receiver?
With synths....it always sounds the same on the receiver AND the headphones (and when I record) but with samples/MPC there is a significant difference....if anyone has prior experience with this please let me know. thanks
