hey, ive got the mpc2000, and am trying to sync it to a fostex vf160 hard disk recorder.
the problem is, sometimes i run drum machines at the same time, and the drum machine is totally out of sync with both of them (dm sync from the mpc, mpc sync from fostex). ive tried different configurations but just cant seem to get it going properly. the drum machine starts at a totally unrelated spot, not even in time at the wrong place! mpc or dm by itself, there is no problem.
i dont use a computer for recording either (and am sick of sampling the drum machine).
okay the other prob is... i want to back up my disks from zip disk but the computer im trying to use to back them up only recognizes so much of the name, you end up with 6or so files with the same name(e.g. sound002z or sound002zc- there will be no 'z'or 'zc'), and the computer will only take one, and if you change the name the mpc wont reconize the sound for the original program etc...wouldnt be such a big problem but ive got a gig worth of songs samples etc that id like to back up, and going thru every program would be a dog.
any suggestions?
thanks.
shane.
