Mpc 2000xl question

Hi i want to get an mpc 2kxl just to create drum patterns but i want to know if i can send sounds from my computer to the mpc to make the pattern and then send the drum loop back onto my software sequencer

A) is this possible
B) what do i need and how do i do it, is it hard to do

yes

you'll need to transfer the sounds (from your computer) onto some kind of disk. floppy, zip, etc....pop the disk in the mpc and load up the sounds. create your drum pattern....

open up your software sequencer and record what you did onto your computer....

your mpc's audio outs need to be connected to your computer soundcards input
