MPC2000XL - New user, just got it yesterday

few questions:
1. Does it have built in sounds to it? I had the MPC1000 and it had built in sounds.
2. First time using this type of music equitment, I have been using PC for all my music. I purchased this MPC2000XL to get to make hip hop music, and some techno, will this equipment do the job?
As I mentioned this is the first time using this type of equipment, my MPC1000 only had it for 3 days and returned it to the store, so never got to learn to use it. Please any info on this equipment will be helpfull.

should have kept your 1000. especially that your just begining too. now your gonna have to spend money getting effect board and 8 outs wow your an idiot!! cause this comes as standard with the 1000 and more memory is available as well.

also u got to deal with floppies & zips oh well!!

dont get my wrong the 2000XL is a great machine i still own one and thats how i got in the game too, but cause you ask silly questions like, does it have built in sounds? bro that could have been found out out the store! and the answer is no.
