Having Problems with MPC2000xl & Rack together. please help

ok, i have a mpc200xl, and a Roland Fantom XR Rack & Midi Keyboard. I have all of it hooked up properly.

and im using the MPC as the Sequencer. The Problem i'm having is after i record my sequence and go into song mode, after it plays the sequence, it starts playing different sounds? but in the same pattern as i originally recorded it. and It Changes my drum programs?

I'm New to all of this, and im sure it's just my error, but can someone please help me. thx

1.make sure ur fantom X rack is in prefomence mode

2.Make sure ur setting up your MIDI channels to corrospond to the channels on the fantom rack .ex MIDI device 1 on the MPC will trigger the sound on midi channel one on the fantom rack.

3. Make sure you understand the concpet of midi(it has 16 channels etc..)

4. Read the fantom XR manual and check out its forums

ya i get the midi channels, i know how to do that. but it only happens when i go into song mode? it switches the sounds in performance mode on the fantom?

The sounds are suppose to be in prefmornce mode on the fatom, thats the only way u can play multipul sounds at once

Look into prgram change.
