Technical questions for the MPC2000xl and the MPC2000

Quick question

I've been saving all pgm, aps, snd files etc to zip drive like most people. I've had problems with old zip disks getting corrupted, with zip drives crapping out, etc. I really would like to get an external scsi cd rom to replace the zip drive, or at least put it in the scsi chain. Can you save to a cd via scsi in the same way you save to zip? Will it save all the pgm,.all, .midi files, etc? If so, has anyone done this succesfully and have recommendations for a scsi cd rom drive? Okay, it wasn't a quick question.

thanks

On the 2kxl, SCSI CD burner, NO. SCSI hard drive, Yes.

Can't save with a SCSI CD ROM on the 2kxl. It's read only.
Someone PM'd me and asked also if they could rip audio
CD's with a SCSI CD ROM, nope.. Data only. Hope this helps you out man.

thanks.

I forgot to mention I have the 2000. whoops. hows about a scsi hard drive for the 2000?...if that works, I guess the move would be, save to hard drive then back that up on cd...one more question...will the hard drive be able to load up your aps, pgs, midi, etc properly?

appreciate the help.
