wat up peeps

What i wanted to do was sync my MPC with cubase so i can use cubase to sequence and my MPC to do everything else. Ive managed to sync them together so when i press play in cubase it plays the MPC but i cant seem to get cubase to record the midi note data when i play the pads, Ive got it setup like this

PC - OUT >> MPC - IN
MPC - OUT >> PC - IN

I managed to get it working with my midi controller going through the mpc and into reason but i cant seem to get it working this way.

Hope someone can help.
Peace

You need to properly arm the tracks in cubase! You should be able to find this to the left of each track. This is done thru midi.

Try to select your device. Do that in the main screen, next where you select your drum(1 trough 4), You have to make sure that your select a device there, when you turn the datawheel you see it changes from OFF to 1A Device01, you can give it a name yourself too, You can select 16 midichannels on the A and 16 on the B.

When you hit a pad, it sends that note out now to your cubase and you should be able to record the data.

Greetz.
