Old skool jungle timestretch?

You know that 'dreadbass' stretch vocal thing that sounds all flanged and spooky. It went 'what the time drop the dread' I think?
I've got a mpc2000xl which I believe has the same stretch as an old s2000.
I heard it is a stretch setting missused on the s1000 anybody know how to do it, I know its played out now but I would still like to know rather than chopping a vocal into a million sections and outting back together to do it that way

just stretch it out a lot and see how the different ones sound.

The 1000 sounds KIND of like that, but the s950 is the really gritty, metallic one.....try stretching a sample to like 300-400 percent, and it will take on that sound instantly.....pretty cool....

get a good book, the mpc takes far to long to timestretch,

true.. i don't like the mpc for time stretching.

you can achieve the same results uisng some simple pc software. also much quicker too. you will be frustrated by the mpc's calculation times.

why dont you just use soundforge for all those features that the mpc dont got?
