I haven't had my MPC 2000xl for too long, but I've been trying to be a good boy and set up a load of sample programs onto a bunch of ZIP disks before bangin out beats. But as always, there have been problems...
1.) First, the internal ZIP drive in my CPU will only read 100meg ZIP disks, and not the 250 megs. If I put a 250 into it, it just spits it back out.... wierd.
2.) I format the ZIP disks using the software program 'MPC editor', but it makes my disks only 30 megs big, even though it is 100 meg disk. What's the dilly with that?
3.) I have a lot of Akai sample CD's, but no SCSI cd drive. I'm looking around to find one, but it's been tough.... is ebay my only route to get one?
4.) Should I buy a SCSI harddive to save stuff, (ie. Jaz drive)
I wanna make the most of this machine but this stuff is holding me back, I know most of u have 'been there, done that' so I know u can relate to these problems... thanks
