salut a tous,hi!!!,i just want you explain me how you make a long,surprising,with snare roll and lot of stops breakbeat?im big fan of squarepusher and amon tobin....also do i put fx on drum chop samples and rerecord it? please i m start in mpc help me!!!!!!

.....first step is to set your quantize to 1/32........that way you can program reall quick stutters and rolls......

effect the hell out of your drum hits but also use dry versions, layer them, take advantage of the velocity switching function where a different sample plays depending on how hard you hit the pad....

drums need tight decays so they dont clutter the ryhthm....easy way to quickly achieve this is to pitch our drums up....although doing so can change the attack character....

best bet would be to practice
and then when your done practicing
practice a little bit more
then take a nap
and get back to practicing
and then find all your own samples and make an insane album like supermodified
squarepusher kicks ass at playing bass by the way...
