Technical questions for the MPC2000xl and the MPC2000
By hollaback8 Tue Jun 21, 2005 5:08 pm
I am new to Sampling and I have a MPC 2000. I have read the manual, and the problem that I am having is this:

I am trying to sample a break in a song. There are some parts of the break I want to take out and add my own sound to ( i believe it is called filtering). Is there a way I can do that?

I also want to chop up parts of the sample (example: like a symbol or something) as well so I use or save to disk. I do not have the 8 output expander. I know you can use a sample and add your stuff on top of the sample.

any help will do

Thanks

The thing you want to learn is the trim mode -- specifically zone edit. You can do all those things with ease. You can either do all those things in the trim mode or you can do them while sequencing. Im a little confused about what you're trying to do, but you can do them all.
How much ram do you have? And do you have a SCSI device, like a zip or a hardrive?
