Trying to get started

Hello, I hope someone here can help me with my current dilema. My band will be going three piece soon, and I need a way to sequence things into our live performance. I know you can sequence in drum and synth sounds, but can I record guitar tracks onto it and play them back live? Does this thing have alot of sounds in it (keys, organ, ect.) or do I need an external source? I'm looking to order one today if it can do what I need. Do I have the right product here? Any suggestions would help greatly, I'm in a big time crunch. Also, what upgrades should I have for this. (I want to make sure I get the right one) Any help will be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

It doesn't sound like an MPC is what you need.
The MPCs come with ZERO sounds built in.
You might be better off with a keyboard workstation with a built in sequencer and built in sounds. Triton maybe? I'm not qualified to suggest one.

I thought this thing had sounds built in. My mistake. If anyone can suggest something for what I'm talking about, I would really appreciate it. Thanks for the reply.

Unfortunately the MPC isn't made to sequence live audio. Other than via sampling capacity the MPC doesn't handle live audio. What you will need is a multitracking unit. This way you can accomplish your forementioned goal. However, the MPC is still a great sequencer,sampler and drum machine, making it a powerful key element in your recordingset up.
