Technical questions for the MPC2000xl and the MPC2000

wsup folks...2000xl here........im having problems saving sequences (yes I read the manual) I tired saving ....seq.mid... and ...saving all songs and sounds.all.... and still no luck. What is going on here anybody?

If you ARE actually saving the .all / .mid files correctly, the only thing I can think of that you could be doing is not saving the .pgm / .aps (program / all programs and sounds) . If this is the case, your sequence/song is gonna play, setting off all the midi data etc inside the mpc, but there won't be any sounds loaded into the mpc's ram for it to trigger... that's why you can't hear anything.

Save everything to the SAME folder. snd/wav/all/pgm/aps/mid. Save each song to a different folder along with all it's files.

yeah this happened to me for a while when i started using the mpc again.

i forgot to save the damn sounds. sheesh!

i think i lost 5 beats like that. i know ima dumb mofo.

unfortunately this type of shhht happens.

anyways you have to save everything like lamp said. not just the seq but the sounds as well--like WDJ pointed out
