losing sounds

this has happened to me twice now, Ive sampled a few loops, **** around with them and then wanted to save just the sounds, not the sequence so I could come back the next day and try and put it together seriously. I got home the next day and was very pissed off to find SOME of the sounds were missing and were replaced with sounds i had deleted ages ago.

A long story short... I lost my new samples and aquired some old ones.. Has this happened to anybody before???

Another question, does formating the disk in the load/save screen wipe all sounds out for good???

That has never happened to me before. Your new sounds overwrited your old ones because they were probably the same name. Always give your samples different names and never leave them as the default names (i.e. Sample01, Sample02, etc.)

Formatting your disk will erase all the sounds stored on the disk.

yea man i did a post on this the other day cause this carried on happenin 2 me. The reason was i wasnt saving my sounds in folders i was just saving them anywhere (not organised). I didnt think this would make a difference but it did. Dunno if you already do this but if you dont i can promise you thats the problem. Hope it helps
