S O N A R recording ?

Greetings all...

I have a MPC 2000xl attached to a midiman interface. I can record my midi drum pad performances, but when I play them back. All I can hear is the sounds stored in Sonar (when I want to hear the sounds stored in the MPC). How do I play, record and hear the sounds of the MPC2000XL ONLY? Does anyone know the assign instruments setup? That may be the problem. Thanks in advance

sorry to say this but , think of it like this..WHAT GOES IN MUST COME OUT.
this theory always help to no where the signal is going and where it is meant to go. if u record the midi events into sonar with ya mpc, what did u expect it to do?

think about it logically. i'm sure it will make sense to you....just to add, the possibilty of me miss understanding this post is viable so sorry if i got u wrong.

Audio doesn't travel via midi.

Hook up your mpc to an amp/receiver/soundcard/mixer or whatever.
The outputs need to be connected.
