i think i may be missing the folder feature.compactflash.usbcapablilties.the extra effects. damn this is a really dope list.. and maybe even a supposed os update which is supposed to make it have some of the same features of the xl. damn what would i be gaining ??? just looking for some opinions before i finalize this trade. thanks yall if you could contribute to my list...

keep your 1k, i dont think timestretch reverse and mtc are any reason to get rid of usb, and compactflash cards

I agree w/Capshun, some more of the things not worth losing
Being able to use all 24 programs at once
being able to assign 4 samples to the same pad
128 meg of ram

You can use a computer to do the timestretch and sample editing and the 1k makes it easy to export/import with a computer. And. as already mentioned in this forum, it is doubtful there will be any more upgrades for the 2k classic.

I once had the 2kxl, but i didn't like to mess around with floppies so I bought the mpc1000.

And now when the multicardreader is avaible for the 2kxl I think I will buy it back and sell the 1k.

if it's 1k vs 2k classic, go with the 1k for sure IMO

man its as simple as this, if your setup involves an mpc in front of a pc/mac then you might aswel fuk with the 1k,
if you have a standalone setup with no computer it can only be the 2kxl (or the 4k if you're a rich biatch)
Keep In Mind the only other thing to take into consideration is how many outputs you'll need, if like me you wont need more then 6......then the 1ks for you, otherwise its a 2kxl.
peace
