Technical questions for the MPC2000xl and the MPC2000

Hey. I'm syncing my MPC2000XL as a slave to my Fantom X6. It's working but... The problem is, when I play patches on the keyboard, it keeps playing the drum samples on the MPC at the same time. It seems that the MPC's drum samples that I have open are somehow automatically assigned to my keyboard.

Does anyone know of a way I can shut that off? or even work around it?

Thanks,

I once synced my MPC to my computer, {using Midi USB cables}, and I played around with Reason. Everything seemed to work fine, except when i loaded a patch on the Reason synth - the notes were all messed up on my MPC, they werent in chromatic scale order {as in they werent one note after the other, just all random notes} and only played in one bank - I dunno if you could change this but I couldnt find a way to do it

Maybe its just some gliches in MIDI itself??

luck with your problem

yes, basic...on the left hand bottom of the screen it says like "drum 1"...and you scroll through that for your different drum programs...scroll to the left select midi and then the proper port and chanel you want. peace -PINKUS

turn the program with your DRUMS off on the track you are amking your sequence on.
