Need Help, Problem Installing External Zip Drive

Okay...I bought an iomega zip 100(external). When I try to install the zip drive's program with the floppy disk that came with it onto my computer (windows xp), I get an error message.

" The procedure entry point ThunkConnect32 could not be located in the dynamic link library KERNEL32.dll "

Does anyone know how this can be fixed????

what are you trying to do? install zip info? nah man, just hook up the zip drive to the scsi port, set it to id 5, terminate the other connection, and slap a zip disc in there. now format it you want to, i dont ever and never have problems, but a lot of people format them. you dont need to do anything to your mpc for the zip drive to show up, just go to save, and rotate the wheel from floppy to scsi 5. bam, saving on a zip just like that.

I am trying to put files from my computer onto the zip so I can use them in the mpc....so I need to be able to install the zip drive program onto the computer, but it won't work....

Just drag and drop files from your pc to a fat16 pc formatted zip. Make sure your files have 8 character filenames and you should be fine after that. PC cannot read MPC formatted zipdisks.

but there is no program to drag and drop the files into on my computer...i can't install the program

How do you get samples from your PC to MPC?

and drop from windows explorer to a fat16 PC formatted zip this
works with internal zipdrives on the PC and USB zipdrives on the PC.

i am trying to use the same scsi zip drive for both the pc and mpc..

I've never used a SCSI zip with PC so I can't help you there. Both of mine are internal, MPC and PC..
