Technical questions for the MPC2000xl and the MPC2000

Yes, i know Zip disks suck as I have just found out the hard way. Some of my files show up still on the MPC, although, of course no the killer beat I'm looking for. What shows up is large file with a really weird icon on it, and another large file called A2. When i try to load these large files, it gives me an error message saying "unrecognized file format".

I can't get me PC to read the disk at all, nor my mac.
I recently downloaded mpc editor in the hopes that I could back up the disk, which it seemed to let me do, I just couldn't access the backed up stuff.

I haven't ersased the disk yet or broken it over my knee, anyone have any tips/ ideas.

Thanks

damn sorry to hear....if you're puttin you zip disks near your monitors don't do that anymore because the magnetic field is known to **** up zip disks, other than that..maybe you should try to get a cd drive or somethin like that, or maybe make doubles of the zip disk..
