Trouble installing a card reader

i ordered this thru numark and paid 5 times as much first of all. never the less...it is not reading the memory stick. i assume it needs to be slaved a certain way. i upgraded to OS 1.2

any suggestions?

I've got the exact same drive. Do you have the small black plastic thing plugged into the two vertical pins on the back of the drive? (just between the power socket and the ide/atapi socket, these are the jumper settings)
Did you format the memory stick?

there are two places the jumper can go. do you know which one? where did u get your drive?

Actually you're right... Theres' four pins, but I can't remember whether it goes on the left two or the right two. I got a manual with mine that said which is which. Did yours come with one? If so, you want to set it to "master". I got the drive from amtron.com.

I can check the manual when I get home if need be...
