ProTools Mbox sync question to MPC

I have Pro Tools Mbox so I had to buy an external midi interface. The Interface has two outs and two ins to sync up. I have read like ten times that I need to run out of the interface to the in on my MPC so the mpc is slaved to protools for tracking out purposes. I have the in/out A and 1 going handshake to my Motif so I am going out from the out A on the midi interface to the in 2. I have my midi sync for the MPC set to sync in(2) and put on Midi Time Code 30, so I belive that is right. My question......Can anyone give a detailed response on how my peripherals, or anything else should be set in Pro Tools in order for me to be able to press the damn space bar to start my MPC.

to use MTC go into the Session setup window in PT, it's in the Windows tab
