sample tempos???

whats up mpc users i have a question that i have still not figured out yet .........
when i sample a record how do i find the tempo using the mpc or maybe any other tricks i can use ....also if i have two diffrent samples for the same seq how do i match them up ?? all help is greatly appreciated

If you go to the timestretch screen, it will tell you your sample original BPM, and what BPM do you want to change it to. You can also use the TAP TEMPO button while listening to the sample.

a simple trick i use when I have a hard time is to

record on one track some basic hihats (tick....tick....tick....tick)
play it back and while its playing change the tempo until the hats match up with the sample

Since you are using a turntable. Set the MPC tempo to what you want. Then turn the metronome on. Press play on the MPC and just use the pitch control on the turntable to match the record to the metronome. Then sample.

just loop the sample and go to the params window
